Target Audience
High Schoolers on Long Island’s North Fork and their parents
Specific Services Offered
— Early help (for 9th & 10th graders/ parents) becoming informed about college-going process;
— Help with identifying a range of colleges that match student interests and resources;
— Help with high school course –selection and resume-building to match college ambitions;
— Help preparing for SAT or ACT exams;
— Help deciding where to apply;
— Help preparing financial-aid forms (FAFSA and College Board CSS Profile);
–Help completing college applications and college essay;
–Help making sense of and a right choice among college offers after acceptance;
Base of operations
— At invitation of the respective guidance counselors, visits to the three high schools;
— At invitation of the library directors, group and individual scheduled meetings at the three
local public libraries: Greenport Library ; Southold Library; Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library
